"কারীবেশ: ভার্চুয়াল কুইয়ার আর্ট প্রদর্শনী" শিরোনামের এই শিল্প প্রদর্শনীর মূল উদ্দেশ্য হল বাংলাদেশের বিচিত্র এবং বৃহত্তর সাধারণ দর্শকদের, লিঙ্গ পরিচয় এবং যৌনতা নিয়ে একটি প্রদর্শনীর সাথে পরিচিত করানো । পাশাপাশি, শারীরিক ও যৌন অধিকার যে একটি মানবাধিকার সেটি শিল্পকর্মের মাধ্যমে তুলে ধরতে সহায়তা করা। বাংলাদেশের কুইয়ার জনগোষ্ঠীর মাঝে শিল্পচর্চা বাড়ানো এবং প্রান্তিক শিল্পীদের কাজ সমাজের কাছে তুলে ধরাও এই প্রদর্শনীর আরও একটি মুখ্য উদ্দেশ্য ।

"কারীবেশ: ভার্চুয়াল কুইয়ার আর্ট প্রদর্শনী" তে বাংলাদেশের সকল কুইয়ার শিল্পী বা ব্যক্তিদের শিল্পকর্ম অন্তর্ভুক্তির জন্য উন্মুক্ত। তবে এই প্রদর্শণীতে দেশের প্রান্তিক এলাকায় ছড়িয়ে থাকা কুইয়ার জনগোষ্ঠীর অংশগ্রণ উৎসাহিত করা হচ্ছে।
কবে এবং কোথায়:
"কারীবেশ: ভার্চুয়াল কুইয়ার আর্ট প্রদর্শনী" আগামী ১লা জুলাই ২০২২ থেকে শুরু হয়ে, চলবে আগামী ৩০ সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২২ পর্যন্ত ভার্চুয়ালি । আমরা আশা রাখি, অক্টোবর ২০২২ মাসের সুবিধাজনক সময়ে ৩-৪ দিনের একটি অফলাইন প্রদর্শনীর আয়োজন করতে । এ বিষয়ে বিস্তারিত সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২২ মাসের শেষের দিকে জানানো হবে ।
কি হবে:
"কারীবেশ: ভার্চুয়াল কুইয়ার আর্ট প্রদর্শনী" তে প্রদর্শনীর জন্য স্থান পাওয়া শিল্পকর্মের জন্য শিল্পীবৃন্দকে একটি শুভেচ্ছা সম্মানী দেয়া হবে এবং প্রদর্শনী সম্পর্কিত ওয়েবিনার, পডকাস্ট ও অন্যান্য আলোচনায় সংযোজন করা হবে । অফলাইন প্রদর্শনীর আয়োজন হলে, প্রদর্শনী স্মরণিকায় শিল্পকর্ম প্রকাশ করা হবে।
কি ধরণের শিল্পকর্ম পাঠানো যাবে?

আয়োজকদের সম্পর্কে
এই প্রদর্শনীটি "শিল্পচিন্তা" এবং "ইকুয়াল বাংলাদেশ" এর যৌথ উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত হচ্ছে । ইকুয়াল, একটি অংশীদারিত্বের প্ল্যাটফর্ম যা বাংলাদেশী কুইয়ার সংস্থাগুলির জন্য একে অপরের কাজকে সমর্থন করে এবং একটি শান্তিপূর্ণ ভবিষ্যতের জন্য মানবাধিকার প্রচার করে। বর্তমানে ইনক্লুসিভ বাংলাদেশ, প্রান্তজ ফাউন্ডেশন, শ্রী এবং রূমঝুম নৃত্যালয় এই প্লাটফর্ম এর সদস্য | অন্যদিকে, আলী আসগর তারা, একজন বিশিষ্ট বাংলাদেশী শিল্পী ও শিক্ষাবিদ, "শিল্পচিন্তা" কে তিনি একটি শিল্প উদ্যোগ হিসেবে প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন। শিল্পের সীমারেখা, চিন্তার দায়বদ্ধতা আর সৃজনশীলতার গৎবাঁধা ধারনা বদলানোর জন্যই তার এই উদ্যোগ।

Why and what:
The main goal of this art exhibition, titled "Karibesh: Virtual Queer Art Exhibition," is to introduce a diverse and wider general audience in Bangladesh to an exhibition about gender identity and sexuality, as well as to help highlight physical and sexual rights as human rights through art. Another common goal of the exhibition is to promote art among Bangladesh's queer population and to showcase the work of rural queer artists to a wider audience.
Who is it for:
All Bangladeshi queer artists or individuals are welcome to participate in "Karibesh: Virtual Choir Art Exhibition." However, participation of the country's queer population in rural areas is encouraged in this exhibition.
What time and where:
"Karibesh: Virtual Queer Art Exhibition" will begin on July 1st, 2022 and will run until September 30th, 2022. We hope to host a 3- to 4-day offline exhibition in October 2022 at a convenient time. The specifics will be revealed at the end of September 2022.
What will occur:
The artists will receive a complimentary honorarium for the artwork chosen for the exhibition, as well as inclusion in webinars, podcasts, and other exhibition-related discussions. The artwork will be published in the exhibition memoir when an offline exhibition is organized.
What types of artwork are acceptable?

About the organisers:
This exhibition is being organised by the joint initiative of "Shilpachinta" and "EQUAL Bangladesh". EQUAL, a partnership platform that supports each other's work for Bangladeshi queer organizations and promotes human rights for a peaceful future. Currently the members of this platform are Inclusive Bangladesh, Prantoz Foundation, Shree and Rumjhum Nrittalaya. On the other hand, Ali Asgar Tara, a prominent Bangladeshi artist and educator, established "Shilpachinta" as an Art initiative. Their initiative is to change the boundaries of the industry, the responsibility of thinking and the idea of creativity.
